The Alliance welcomed the addition of Bosch to the Board of Directors as they step into a leadership role, furthering the Alliance’s mission to transform the connected world. Bosch brings significant experience and insight to the Board, influencing the path ahead for interoperability standards.
The release of Matter 1.4.2 is a meaningful advancement in the Matter ecosystem, further strengthening the foundation of the standard with enhancements that prioritize security, simplify certification, improve infrastructure, and create smoother, more reliable experiences for users.
Alliance-Commissioned Omdia Report on Cybersecurity
Consumer IoT Device Cybersecurity Standards, Policies, and Certification Schemes 2025, an Omdia report commissioned by the Alliance’s Product Security Working Group, offers a snapshot of emerging trends in IoT cybersecurity and the rapidly evolving global landscape.
The newly launched Matter Compliant Platform Certification program builds on the success of the Zigbee Compliant Platform program, allowing silicon vendors to certify their platforms, hardware, and software development kits against Matter for the first time.
Along with more than 45 Alliance Members exhibiting their latest smart home technologies at IFA, Alliance Technology Strategist Christopher LaPré took the stage during Tuya Smart’s keynote session, “Advancing the Smart Home with Matter”, sharing how the standard is reshaping the global smart home.
