We recognize the existing fragmentation of Internet of Things (IoT) cybersecurity requirements. To encourage and elevate dialogue on this topic, we are pleased to share “Consumer IoT Device Cybersecurity Standards, Policies, and Certification Schemes 2025”, an Omdia report commissioned by the Alliance Product Security Working Group.
The cybersecurity of connected devices relies on three core pillars: standards, regulations, and labeling. As consumer IoT adoption accelerates, governments and industry leaders are working to define and align these elements. This latest report offers a timely snapshot of the rapidly evolving global IoT cybersecurity landscape. It outlines key trends in standards development, national certification schemes, and the growing demand for clearer consumer guidance.
